Who We Are
From Blanket Drives to a Food Pantry
Founded by Karen Cannady, Generous Giving Detroit started as a blanket drive on Martin Luther King Blvd and 3rd Street. Over 14 years, it has grown into a year-round mission providing meals, clothing, toiletries, and now a food pantry in partnership with Christ Temple Baptist Church.
We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible.

Ways Your Organization Can Help
Food & Supply Donations
Contribute surplus food, non-perishable goods, or essential supplies directly to our pantry at Christ Temple Baptist Church.
Financial Grants & Sponsorship
Fund our operations through community grants, corporate giving programs, or event sponsorship. Every dollar goes directly to serving those in need.
Food Rescue Partnership
Redirect surplus food from your stores, restaurants, or warehouses to families in need. We coordinate pickup and distribution.
Volunteer Teams
Send your team to help with distribution events, food preparation, or community outreach. Corporate volunteer days welcome.

Food Pantry
Help Us Stock the Pantry
Our food pantry at Christ Temple Baptist Church (10628 Plymouth Rd, Detroit) serves families in the community year-round. We are actively seeking partnerships with grocery stores, food distributors, and food rescue organizations to keep our shelves stocked.
We can coordinate pickup of surplus food, accept bulk deliveries, and provide tax-deductible donation receipts for all contributions.
